AgamemCon Masquerade is coming - June 9th, 2001

Is your costume ready yet???

There will be a Costume Masquerade on the Saturday night of AgamemCon.  We want you to be there in costume!  We will have a full size stage (24'x24'), lights and sound.  You can show off a brand new costume or exhibit an older one.

Costumes can be from any time or place your imagination can take you.  Time travelers are welcome.  Please check out the complete rules and stage layout <here>.  Basically:

bulletPre-registration is required, at least by Saturday afternoon.
bulletThe masquerade runs by Costumer's Guild standard rules.
bulletSafety is first for everyone. No messy substances on costumes or leaving messes on the stage.  Please follow time limits and other restrictions.
bulletIf you are not going to be at the convention during the day, contact Cat for special arrangements to still show your costume.
bulletThis masquerade is considered a "local" for figuring out what skill level you should enter at.  If you're unsure, contact the Masquerade Director, Cat Devereaux, to get help and find out more information.

Check out AgamemCon's full web site for all the information about their Science Fiction convention in Burbank, California this June 8-10, 2001.  They specialize in Babylon 5 but cover a number of other shows.  Also includes are the folk from OASIS for National Space Society panels. It's a great con.  Come play, and learn.

Time Limits

Time limits will be strictly enforced unless permission has been given for a skit.  Permission can only come from the masquerade director.  (We currently have one skit, but can accommodate one other.)

We're looking for Masquerade Volunteers!

We want your help with the AgamemCon masquerade.  We need everyone from den-moms (and dads) to catcher/pushes to costume models to gofers.  No experience is necessary for many of the positions.  We will train you the day of the convention.  However if you contact us early, we can mail out cheat-sheets on some of the positions.

This site will be updated as more information becomes available.

Please note, because of schedules and other shows, my mail pickup will be a bit erratic until the Thursday before the masquerade.... but I will get back to you.

Masquerade Director, AgamemCon
