Ginger's Galadriel Crown

Step by step crown construction.

The crown is built using 16 gauge steel wire and brass embossing sheet metal.  The right side of the crown is soldered using a standard craft soldering iron and non-electrical soldering wire.   Extra soldering tips <here>.
The pattern is my own, and is scaled to the correct size for my own head. The approximately 20 pieces of wire in the first side are bent and joined in the right places.
Both sides are now complete, with the back unfinished.
The back of the crown. I did not allow enough space in the back for the complex weave of gold leaves that sit at the base of the skull, and the whole of the back is slightly off-center. Something to be corrected for the next crown;)

Even using my pattern, the diameter is slightly small. Cate's sits at the base of the skull in the back, an effect which can be achieved if the crown is slightly bigger around;)
