Hey, Halloween has it's high-brow side too. The exhibits are unique.
The lectures are fun. The signings are rare chances. A lot here is also
good for kids.
The Uniform Makes the Man... and
the Woman
In conjunction with Fort MacArthur Museum, this
unique exhibit explores the evolution of the military uniform from the Civil War
to the 1950s

Spooky Science Presents the Legend of the Chupacabra straight
out of North and Central American folklore. Guests will travel through
a spooky ChromaDepth® 3D village to see the chupacabra’s world. Next, the
science of cryptozoology will be discussed. Other sanguivorous animals
(blood suckers) will be examined, like leeches and the pesky mosquito.
Explore a spooky 3D forest maze! Bounce House.

Discovery
Science
Center will give visitors a chance
to help those that need blood the most: the American Red Cross. A donor
mobile will be outside of the Center during the exhibit.
Spider
Pavilion - Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County
"The Spider Pavilion, the only public spider-viewing
center of its kind in the country. Gallery interpreters guide you in small
groups through the Pavilion where you can get up close to Orb Weaver spiders
as they busily create intricate webs, interact with one another and feed on
their prey."

Ray Bradbury book signings
Ray Bradbury, one of the most beloved writers of our time,
returns to Vroman’s to sign copies of Farewell Summer, the much-anticipated
follow up to Dandelion Wine, and The Homecoming, a collection of
“wonderfully illustrated short stories.”
Here's a fun and spirited way to get your kids into the
Halloween spirit... and keep them interested in reading at the same time.
