Sample Elf

This is the basic Simplicity 9891.  The only changes I made were not putting in the cowled collar or the standup one.  I also used sleeves from McCall's 3010 View D sleeve. I used an edged cording inserted like piping around the neckline.

 The fabric is Navy Blue Bridal Satin which I purchased for 1.99 per yard. and the sleeves are Navy Blue sparkle organza also purchased for 1.99 per yard. The cording belt and piping at the neckline came in a scrap bag of trims I purchased from Hobby Lobby for 1.50.  The simplicity pattern was on sale for 1.99 and the McCall's pattern was already in my pattern stash.

Total Cost of the dress: $19.49  

Not to shabby! I like to make up new dresses as inexpensively as possible while I work out the kinks!! LOL!
