a genuine LOTR costume, only a piece inspired by it. This is the
cape I made for my mother for Christmas.
I used the pattern on Alley Cat Scratch for the tree. I printed
it out on normal printer sized paper, went to kinko's, had it doubled in
size,
I bought faux white suede, copied the pattern onto it, cut it out,
used special fabric decorating glue to attach to cape using wooden frame
to hold the material taut. Also, I cut off the tips of the triangles
that made the hood so it could be rolled up easily to reveal back
pattern when not in use.
