 About the instructors:

Tifeni Whittington is a descendant of Dick Whittington of Charles Dickens fame.  Dick and his special cat removed the rats and vermin of the castle that made the King  so happy he made him Lord Mayor of London, thrice.

Lady Whittington has been furthering the romance of England through her historical costuming for herself, her sister Stefeni, co-owner, and staff every 3 months while operating the tea shoppe.  The last notable event was the Renaissance Christmas Feast where royalty and nobles gathered for a revel, peasants were turned away at the door.

Diane Barr began her costuming career in North County ten years ago.  Beginning with costume design and coordination of several productions at  Moonlight Theater  and  different children’s community theaters throughout north county, she has offered her expertise to Carlsbad Children’s Discovery Museum in it’s infancy and continues to provide Medieval costumes for the Castle Play at the museum. Barr established her own company in 1993, Rose D’Zynes, which provides custom Historical attire suitable for weddings nationwide.
